Bus Drivers, We Appreciate You!

Bus Driver Appreciation Week is an important time to recognize and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and essential service that bus drivers provide our students. This week in particular, we thank our bus drivers for getting our children to school safely and in a timely manner every day! Their consistent routines play a vital role in the daily functioning of families and staff alike in order for our students to have the best experience at school. Through snow and rain, traffic and construction, these trusted adults do so much more than just transport our children. We know that behind the wheel of every bus is a dedicated professional whose job often goes unnoticed, yet is crucial to the smooth running of daily school life.

A special congratulations goes out to BHS transportation employees Christine Donelson and Willard Dean, this year’s winners of the Oakland Schools Transportation Department “Excellence in Transportation” award.
